William Paterson is one of the most sought after feis musicians of the current day. His unique style of playing, along with his own compositions, makes sure that he is always in demand around the world.

William started playing at feisanna at the age of 12 years old. Although his first love has always been Irish dancing, William has also played for many Scottish Céilidh dances and was heavily involved in the UK accordion and fiddle scene.

Being able to play such a wide variety of styles has influenced the creation of such a unique playing style.

William has played at many competitions over the years which resulted in several awards, including many 1st's at the UK accordion championships in Scarborough

William still spends a lot of time abroad supporting various feis competitions, but also finds time to be the lead accordionist for the band Stormis and Don't Feed the Haggis as well as many solo performances.

William has held on to his roots and still stays in Glasgow, Scotland and has recently had a beautiful baby boy called Arran, with his wife Natalie. If William has his way, his son will follow in footsteps and achieve a bright future in accordion playing.

William can be found playing at the Park bar Glasgow or Islay Inn Glasgow during the week for the regular sessions.
